Skilled Fabricator/Welder

Steel fabricators are proficient at working with raw materials and detailed blueprints/drawings to produce custom metalworks.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting detailed blueprints and shop drawings
  • Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices and procedures
  • Has the ability to burn with OX/ACT torches
  • Experience in MIG welding, preferably with flux-cored wire

Tradesmen

  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexibility in your role. You will likely be required to cross train on multiple machines to fill in around the shop as needed

Seibel Modern is committed to providing a safe work environment for its employees. Seibel Modern must be kept drug and alcohol free to ensure that a safe environment is maintained. To ensure this, Seibel Modern has instituted the following policies:

  1. All employees hired after March 1, 1998 must submit to a drug test prior to or during their initial probationary period. Refusal to do so or a positive test shall disqualify an applicant from consideration for work for the Company.
  2. Alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are prohibited in the plant or plant property at all times. Anyone found to be possession of the above shall at a minimum be suspended without pay for three (3) days and may at management's discretion be terminated.
  3. Anyone suspected of reporting to work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs shall at a minimum be suspended without pay for three (3) days and may at the discretion of management be terminated. If conditions warrant, drug and alcohol testing may be required by Seibel Modern. "Under the influence" is defined as any positive test result for the presence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
  4. Drug and alcohol testing will be required for any work related injury; any accident at work or while driving a Company vehicle while working which involves serious personal injury or property damage over $200; or any other circumstance where there my be reason to believe that employee is "Under the Influence" of alcohol or illegal drugs. Failure to do so shall be considered a refusal to be tested. Refusal to be tested will be deemed a positive test result and will result in a minimum of a three (3) day suspension without pay and may result in termination. A positive test will result in the same disciplinary action as described above.
